There were two interesting phenomena in the Sultan’s personality

during his reign. First, it was marked by political turbulence that

had never occurred in Java in the previous period. His reign was

marked by ups and downs, starting with the first period, from 1792

to 1810, then from 1811 to 1812, and from 1826 to 1828.
